Happy Canada Day!

Sometimes, I think we forget about how amazing this country is. We live in the second largest country in the world. A country that has majestic mountains and oceans. Virtually unlimited natural resources. Vast expanses of forest. Gorgeous, federally and provincially maintained parks. Weather that can be sometimes be almost unbearably cold in the winter and equally unbearably hot in the summer. A country that has so many fresh water rivers and lakes that they are almost uncountable.

This country is beautiful. Its filled with beautiful people, that have worked hard to make it the way it is. And we are lucky enough to call it home. We can literally travel just about anywhere in the world and people love us. We are home to some of the funniest comedians in the world, some of the best bands in the world, and some of the best food in the world. Our air is clean. Our cities are clean. Our medical care is available to everyone who lives here and we have Ketchup flavored chips!

I love Canada. I’m glad I was born here. And I’m proud to call it mine.

This Canada Day, all of us here at Planet Storage hope you celebrate this awesome country and have a fantastic long weekend (even though technically Canada Day is on Tuesday)!

See you soon 🙂

Happy Victoria Day!

Here it comes. The unofficial start to the summer. The warmer weather is starting to tease us. And soon, many of us will try to get away up north to a cottage so we can swim in our warm lakes and complain about the heat and humidity that most of Ontario gets slammed with in the summer.

I cant wait!!

In the meantime, please enjoy this May long weekend responsibly.

From all of us here at Planet Storage – Happy Victoria Day!

See you soon 🙂

Happy Valentine’s Day

Valentines Day.

The day of love.

A day where 35 million heart shaped, chocolate filled boxes will be sold.

A day where 189 million stems of roses will sold.

A day where 220,000 people will propose to get married to their love.

A day where 145 million Valentines Day cards will be sent.

A day where cupid will shoot his love arrows into the hearts of  millions and cause us to remember why we love to fall in love.

This Valentine’s Day, Planet Storage wishes to send you a Valentine.

We love you! And we hope you love us back 🙂

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy New Year!

2014! Can you believe it?

I can still remember when we all panicked because the world was going to come to a grinding hault because of the Y2K issue back in 2000. And yet here we are, still plugging along. Thank goodness 🙂

For those that don’t remember, Doomsdayers and Naysayers, had the rest of the world believing that the world would fall into some sort of catastrophic apocalypse because our computers weren’t developed to switch from 1999 into the new millennium. The worlds computers were supposed to go haywire and thrust our economic systems into collapse along with a myriad of other terrible things. And nothing happened. The clocks changed and the world kept on ticking much the same as it always has.

This year, much the same as we always have, Planet Storage would like to extend to you a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year. Minus the false apocalyptic drama.

Here’s to 2014!

It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like The Holidays

After returning from a tropical paradise in the Dominican Republic this week, I must say, I’m not terribly pleased about the temperature change I experienced after getting off the plane. This morning in Toronto, it was -12. Brrr. The weather man, also says that we are getting some snow…so that should make things feel a little more Holiday-ish in the GTA.

The Holiday Season is pretty hard to beat in terms of cheer and fun. But it can also be extraordinarily busy. And with the hustle and bustle that we experience this time of year, it can be quite exhausting and we can sometimes forget the spirit of the season.

To help us remember, I’ve attached a video of a family that lights up their house for their neighborhood. Its fun to watch and it brings a smile to almost everyone’s face. And with this many lights, you just know they are storing their Holiday stuff in self storage. Maybe its even here at Planet Storage!

Enjoy 🙂
